The moon is full tonight and the neighborhood kids were running around howling at 8 p.m. I'm sure they have no idea why they were howling. It started in Denver on March 27th. A couple decided to create a Facebook page Go Outside and Howl at 8pm to encourage people to do something different while still maintaining social distancing. Some people howl to show support for essential workers, some to release frustration, while others still look at it as sending an audible hug to people within earshot. There's something like 400k followers of the page now and people all across the U.S. are howling at 8 p.m. Good on them!
Today's Tips:
- Wash your hands with soap and hot water for at least 30 seconds. The "experts" recommend singing Happy Birthday while you scrub. I recommend singing "Bark at the Moon" by Ozzy Osbourne.
- Give the 8 p.m. howling a try. I missed it tonight, but I'll stick my head out the window tomorrow night for sure!
- Plan a vacation. I know I mentioned how I want to go to Arizona and hike Yarnell Hill to honor the Granite Mountain Hot Shots, but I also want to go to Ireland. I've been learning Gaelic via Duolingo, but I'm also starting to plan the trip for 2021. Where I want to go, what I want to do, things I want to see and experience. Be detailed and prioritize - it's YOUR vacation! (I've also decided today that after Ireland will be Italy!)
Above all else, stay healthy my friend!
